Be Kind To Yourself
Our inner critic can be so loud when we feel we have made a mistake. Every time you start beating yourself up about something that you did, begin to tell yourself “I love you.” There is no reason to play the same script of self deprecation. When we do something we aren’t proud of (which by the way for most of us happens at least once a day!) we tend to keep beating ourselves up about it. This just makes us feel worse and doesn’t help us make changes. It’s better to talk to ourselves like we would our own child. Understand why you did that, and ask your higher self for guidance on how to improve to the future. Doing this with sincerity will help you be confident that you are NOT a bad person because you are a human being.
Don’t Let Other People Define Yourself Worth
Have you ever been affected by a rude comment or let a family or friends judgement of you change the way you were going? True confidence is learning the difference between listening to other people, and letting it affect our insides. Keep taking the time to reflect when something hurts you or influences you and ask yourself why. Remember, it’s okay to be in uncomfortable situations. You can never be successful and happy and please everyone, so get in tune with yourself first and foremost!
Stand Up Tall
The way we show up to the world influences the way we feel and the way others treat us. Not only does standing up with good posture show others that you are confident, but it actually wires your brain to believe you are more confident. When you feel yourself slouched over and looking down at the ground, train your mind to stand up straight and affirm that you are strong, beautiful, and limitless.
Do Unto Others As You Would Like Done Unto You
Being kind to others shows harmony with all of life. Being good to all and showing kindness is a part of what makes us feel good. When we see the good in others and show this good to others, we are also seeing and showing this good to ourselves. Live and share kindness everyday and watch your confidence improve.
High Five Yourself
Have you ever heard of Mel Robbins. Love that woman! A few weeks ago I watched her on Jay Shetty and she mentioned this tip about high fiving yourself in the mirror. Every day I have been doing this and it is a reminding that I am doing such a good job. Have you taken a second to say thank you to yourself for everything you are doing? Did you mean it when you said it?
Building a relationship with yourself is giving your soul the credit for all the work you have been doing. You deserve to be proud of yourself. By becoming centered in ourselves we find a place of refuge between fear + doubt that we can always return to.
Live With Integrity
Living with integrity is one of the most important aspects of confidence. When we can trust ourselves and live according to what we believe, we can stand up strong and authentically for life. Write down your rules for life and your moral guidelines, this way you can stick with them and not have mysterious morals.
Understand Every Humans Inherent Worth
Hey, you, yeah you. Did you start to forget that every single human being on this earth is equal and therefore any lack of confidence is subjective. Every human being deserves happiness, health, and wellness, and to be proud of themselves. Wouldn’t it make you sad to think of how someone can look down on another for their social status, appearance, or lack of finances? So why do we doubt ourselves and believe ourselves unworthy of this basic human respect? To be honest, I don’t know why. But I do know, we must remind ourselves that no matter how beautiful or ugly, sick or healthy, rich or poor, as we may assess ourselves or others to be, we are ALL equal and we are all one.
Prioritize Self Development
Take time to change your mental programming by preparing for life with new knowledge. Stop pinching the penny with self development and start learning about you. Learn new things and different things. Not only does this give you a new and renewed curiosity for life, but your mind is now equipped to with new tools. You are a new person every time you read. Keep learning and watch your confidence soar.
Visualization
Create a mental picture of yourself the way that you would like to be. Include the vibe, energy, + feeling in your body, as well as your physical appearance. Visualize this picture of health, confidence, self assuredness, and beauty, as often as you can. Whenever you feel yourself low, close your eyes and return to this image. Watch this image manifest in your reality more and more with consistency.
Use Affirmations
If you really want to radiate confidence and beauty, you have to change the script in your mind to one of a confident and beautiful person. We have heard time and time again that what we think creates our reality but is that really true. Let me give you a case in point. The last 3 months I have been focused on some specific affirmations including the way I want to appear and how I want to feel.
This morning after getting ready I felt so good and looked in the mirror and felt so good about how I looked with such a minimal outfit and makeup. I was so excited to go to help my friends with some work and could feel all the work I had been doing on my mind state. Well as I was at my friends there was a lot of conflict, a couple fighting, and I met a lot of new people. I was very aware of the conversation changing within me from being happy with myself to thinking about what these others thought of me. When I saw myself in the mirror later in the day, I looked different to myself! I gave myself a few minutes to realign my inner dialogue and stimulate the reality I want into existence.
Final Thoughts
The biggest changes start within you. Never forget that all the answers you seek are already inside of you. The most important thing is that you find a way to be happy and love yourself everyday.
