top 4 vegan makeup brands (imo)
So you’ve decided you want to be more eco conscious about your makeup! There are so many brands and products to choose from and I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but sometimes when you type in “vegan makeup brand” brands that aren’t vegan pop up. Choosing the right products and brands you can trust is difficult, especially when you want to look good, as well as reduce your footprint.
After years of testing, I’ve discovered some amazing vegan beauty secrets, so in today’s post we are going to be talking about the top 4 vegan beauty brands (because I really only have found four I adore!)

Elf Beauty
Elf Beauty is the 100% vegan + cruelty free beauty brand you can find at CVS + Target and get cheaper than anything I’ve found on the market. Even though you get what you pay for in makeup, some of E.L.F.s products are just as good as the top notch brands in beauty.
I swear by their Beauty Blemish Control Face Primer, the 16 Hour Camo Concealer, and their Halo Glow Setting Powder.
Kylie Cosmetics
I just invested in Kylie Cosmetics for the first time, ever, a couple weeks ago when I found out that it was entirely vegan + cruelty free. Based on how good Kylie’s skin looks, and how much effort she puts into her brand, I knew it would be top tier and I was so right.
I am in love with the Clear + Clarify Skin Set and I’ve never had a better lips than with the Koko K High Gloss. In terms of my future makeup + skin care plans, I will definitely continue investing in her products.
Tarte Cosmetics
There is something about this brand that is so genuinely vegan and earthy. Their values are right where their products are and I love that.
I’ve been testing out vegan foundations forever and so many of them smeared. I finally went into a Macy’s and the Tarte foundation was recommended to me. It stays on for a full 9 hour shift of work and the coverage is so super smooth. I would recommend the Amazonian Clay Foundation which has SPF and softens your skin all day long.
HAUS Laboratories
One of the first vegan beauty brands I ever tested was HAUS. It was recommended to me by my health conscious family + I absolutely fell in love with the quality. My favorite product from HAUS has to be their new Lady Gaga Glam Attack Eyeshadow. It’s really a need, not a want :)
